Naturally beautiful, with more than five miles of golden sand, Poole Beaches are designated by the EC as one of the few areas in the country which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness.

Poole has six main sandy beaches all adjacent to each other along the southern shoreline. All are sandy and suitable for children.

Sandbanks and Shore Road offer most facilities and all have access to public toilets.

Community Room (For Hire)

The Community Room at Branksome Dene Chine, from its elevated patio provides panoramic sea views, is ideally situated for children's beach parties, barbecues, meetings and many other social gatherings and has stepped access to the beach.

This single storey facility consists of one main muti-purpose room, together with tea making facilities and associated public toilet facilities. Disabled access and toilet facilities are available.

Barbecues

Barbecues can only take place after 6.00pm and bookings/permissions must be obtained from Sandbanks Beach Office. The designated locations for barbecues are Shore Road Beach and Sandbanks Beach. Seven days notice is required by the Council.

Beach Furniture

Beach furniture is available for hire (subject to weather) from Easter to September from 9.15am - 5.30pm at Sandbanks, Shore Road and Branksome Chine. Please call the Beach Office on 01202 708181 for more details on hiring beach furniture.

Windshields £3.00 per day + £2.00 returnable deposit
Parasols £3.00 per day + £5.00 returnable deposit
Sunbeds £3.00 per day + £1.00 returnable deposit

Life Guards

Poole's lifeguard team is qualified to RLSS standard and are at the Beach Stations, May to September, at Sandbanks, Shore Road and Branksome Chine.

Beach Sports & Amusements

Sandbanks
Volleyball posts are available in a permanent position on the beach. Use your own nets. Pedalos and windsurfing are available. Crazy Golf and Putting are also available at this beach.

Shore Road
Windsurfers, catamarans and pedalos are available for hire.
